2010 Championship has something for everyone

Irving, TX, May 18, 2010 – HP Byron Nelson Championship officials have released a comprehensive schedule of events for the 2010 Championship:

Tuesday, May 18

  • Practice Round – TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas

Wednesday, May 19

  • Operation Literacy Promotion in cooperation with the PGA TOUR Wives Association – receive free admission to the Championship if you bring a new children’s book to donate to Operation Literacy.
  • Gold Pro-Am – TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas. Each foursome plays with a PGA TOUR Professional. Cameras allowed.

Thursday, May 20

  • First round of the HP Byron Nelson
  • KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
  • HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
  • Pavilion After Dark featuring Dallas cover band, Emerald City. The band will begin one hour after the round ends, and continue playing until 9:30 p.m.

Friday, May 21

  • Second round of the HP Byron Nelson
  • KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
  • Story Time in KidsZone – 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., free admission. PGA TOUR players and wives will be reading a variety of children’s books.
  • HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
  • Pavilion After Dark – special performance by a Texas country star. The band will begin one hour after play and continue until 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 22

  • Third round of the HP Byron Nelson
  • KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
  • HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
  • Pavilion After Dark featuring Dallas disco cover band, Le Freak. The band will begin one hour after the round ends, and continue playing until 9:30 p.m.

Sunday, May 23

  • Final round of the HP Byron Nelson
  • KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
  • HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
  • Closing Ceremony on No. 18 green, immediately after play ends.
