HP Byron Nelson Championship Schedule of Events
2010 Championship has something for everyone
Irving, TX, May 18, 2010 – HP Byron Nelson Championship officials have released a comprehensive schedule of events for the 2010 Championship:
Tuesday, May 18
- Practice Round – TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas
- Opening Ceremony – noon, in the Verandah, TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas. Free and open to the public, Tom Watson will receive the 2010 Byron Nelson Prize. The 2010 Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award recipients will also be present.
- Youth Clinic – 5 p.m., TPC Four Seasons Practice Range. Free admission, hosted by Colt Knost and Matt Weibring and featuring Long Drive Champions Art Sellinger and Jamie Sadlowski. Bring a new children’s book to donate to Operation Literacy and receive a free ticket to the Championship on Wednesday, May 19.
Wednesday, May 19
- Operation Literacy Promotion in cooperation with the PGA TOUR Wives Association – receive free admission to the Championship if you bring a new children’s book to donate to Operation Literacy.
- Gold Pro-Am – TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas. Each foursome plays with a PGA TOUR Professional. Cameras allowed.
Thursday, May 20
- First round of the HP Byron Nelson
- KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
- HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
- Pavilion After Dark featuring Dallas cover band, Emerald City. The band will begin one hour after the round ends, and continue playing until 9:30 p.m.
Friday, May 21
- Second round of the HP Byron Nelson
- KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
- Story Time in KidsZone – 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., free admission. PGA TOUR players and wives will be reading a variety of children’s books.
- HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
- Pavilion After Dark – special performance by a Texas country star. The band will begin one hour after play and continue until 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 22
- Third round of the HP Byron Nelson
- KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
- HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
- Pavilion After Dark featuring Dallas disco cover band, Le Freak. The band will begin one hour after the round ends, and continue playing until 9:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 23
- Final round of the HP Byron Nelson
- KidsZone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. KidsZone will feature various family-friendly activities, including mini-golf, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more.
- HP Technology Zone – open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., free admission. HP Technology Zone will feature interactive stations and a showcase of HP’s latest technology.
- Closing Ceremony on No. 18 green, immediately after play ends.
